Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Vice Presidential Candidate of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has called on members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in the country to participate in the upcoming elections on Saturday, December 7.

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh popularly known as Napo made this heartfelt appeal, emphasizing that it is the duty of every eligible voter to cast their ballot in the general election.

He highlighted that the election of the President and parliamentary candidates is a significant event for the nation, and citizens should treat it as such.

He urged members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church not to abstain from voting simply because it falls on a Saturday.

Napo made this call at Kwamang in the Nsuta Kwamang Beposo Constituency during his campaign tour in the Ashanti region.

He stated that every eligible voter should play a role in choosing the right leaders to guide the country, reiterating his strong appeal for Adventists to vote on December 7.

“As citizens of Ghana, it is our duty to vote and select the right individuals to form the government and implement effective policies for our progress.

“We must remember that if we choose not to participate in the election, others will elect leaders who may not represent our interests.

“We should also keep in mind that poor leadership can lead to harmful policies that affect us all.

“That’s why I am passionately urging our fathers, mothers, brothers, and sisters in the Adventist Church to join fellow citizens and vote on December 7,” he said.

Napo stressed that the fact that voting day is on Saturday, December 7, should not be an excuse for anyone, including Adventists, to skip the presidential and parliamentary elections.

He believes that every eligible voter should engage in the national elections to ensure they are memorable and successful, stating, “We are all voting.”
