My policies will transform Ghana – Bawumia

The Vice President of Ghana and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate, H.E. Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has reiterated his dedication to transformative policies he refers to as “Bold Solutions” to boost Ghana’s economic growth and social progress.

During recent meetings in various constituencies, including discussions with imams, clergy, traditional leaders, youth, and other stakeholders, Dr. Bawumia shared his vision, which emphasizes job creation, educational improvement, renewable energy, and better healthcare access.

His proposed initiatives include a tax amnesty programme, zero-duty on imported solar panels, free tertiary education for individuals with disabilities, and the incorporation of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) along with artificial intelligence (AI) into the national education framework.

He also promised a “One Student, One Laptop” program for university students and the creation of District Agriculture Mechanization Centers to modernize farming nationwide.

Dr. Bawumia highlighted advancements in Ghana’s health sector since 2017, mentioning the construction of 48 hospitals, 230 health centers, and 428 Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compounds, as well as the hiring of over 200,000 health workers.

He pointed out Ghana’s pioneering efforts in drone-enabled medical deliveries and the ongoing construction of more than 100 hospitals under the Agenda 111 initiative.

He announced that starting December 1, 2024, kidney dialysis treatment will be free for all patients under the National Health Insurance Scheme, following a successful six-month trial.

“The NPP has always put the health of Ghanaians first,” Dr. Bawumia stated. “As President, I would enhance healthcare, providing more advanced services to every region.”

He thanked constituents in Afigya Kwabre South, Old Tafo Pankrono, and Suame for their support and urged voters to support him and the NPP Parliamentary Candidates in the upcoming December 7 elections.
