Presidential running mate of the NPP, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has slammed NDC flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama for his unprovoked attacks on chiefs and religious leaders in the country.
“Is this the man who wants to come back as President,” he queried.
Campaigning in Kumawu in the Ashanti Region on Thursday, September 19, Dr Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as Napo, said such a character is not fit to come back to lead the nation. “John Mahama must be told that elections are not won with insults and violence,” he stated.
Campaign on issues
Napo challenged the NPP flagbearer to campaign on issues. He said Ghanaians are looking for a leader who has demonstrated the ability to solve problems rather than insulting people.
Bawumia’s message
Napo said Dr Bawumia’s message of hope and bold solutions are what Ghanaians need going forward. The message, he explained, will address Ghana’s challenges in all sectors. He expressed confidence that Ghanaians will find favour with Dr Bawumia.
He urged the people to also vote massively to retain Ernest Yaw Anim as Member of Parliament for Kumawu.
Napo also campaigned in Effiduase Asokore where he said a Bawumia government will propel the collective agenda of protecting the strides chalked as a country.
At various engagements from palaces to the streets, he said it is abundantly clear that Dr Bawumia’s message of bold solutions keeps resonating with the people. The campaign also took him back to the Juaben Constituency.
