The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) running mate, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, has urged voters in the Tano North constituency to support Dr. Gideon Boako, the party’s parliamentary candidate, in the upcoming December elections.
He believes Dr. Boako will be a valuable addition to Parliament for the country.
Speaking at a gathering in Yamfo during his nationwide campaign to rally support for the NPP, Dr. Prempeh praised Dr. Boako as a model of skill and reliability, noting that many Ghanaians respect him for his outstanding political behavior.
He emphasized that Dr. Boako’s election would enhance the credibility and effectiveness of the parliamentary role, benefiting both the constituency and the nation.
Accompanying him were Assin Central MP Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, regional party leaders, local MP Hon. Freda Prempeh, and other senior party officials.
Dr. Prempeh also highlighted the importance of strong campaigning in all constituencies, urging NPP candidates to work hard to secure a strong majority in Parliament.
He called on all party members to actively support the NPP in winning the presidential election and gaining more seats.
Reflecting on the challenges faced by the current Akufo-Addo administration, he noted that a divided House has contributed to difficulties and stressed the need to avoid this in the future for better governance.
He also encouraged party unity and a focus on the shared goal of winning the 2024 elections, recognizing that internal conflicts could be a challenge.
